On the afternoon of November 3, Ms. Wu Mengyi, Vice President of Baidu, Inc., along with her delegation, visited the School of Law of Beijing Jiaotong University. The two parties held in-depth discussions on topics including legal research in the field of autonomous driving and the cultivation of legal talents for the transportation sector. The meeting was attended by Mr. Zhang Lixue, Party Secretary of the School of Law, Ms. Zhu Benxin, Deputy Dean, Mr. Li Xingyou, Secretary of the Youth League Committee, and Mr. Shi Chenyu, Academic Affairs Secretary, as well as Mr. Li Hong, Director of the Legal Department of Baidu, Inc., and Dr. Liu Wei, an expert in autonomous driving legislation. The symposium was presided over by Deputy Dean Zhu Benxin.

On behalf of the School of Law, Zhang Lixue extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guests and provided an overview of the School's historical evolution, educational features, and talent cultivation achievements, particularly highlighting its outstanding accomplishments in the fields of transportation law and emerging technology law. He emphasized that the School has consistently adhered to the philosophy of "seeking collaboration through contributions and pursuing development through services," promoting pragmatic cooperation with enterprises. Zhang expressed his expectation that this exchange would lay a solid foundation for extensive and multidimensional collaboration between the two parties, ultimately achieving mutually beneficial outcomes.

Ms. Wu Mengyi elaborated on Baidu's core positioning and business layout. She highlighted that as an AI-driven technology enterprise, Baidu has developed substantial technical expertise in the autonomous driving sector. Further expressing the company's expectation to establish close collaboration with the School of Law by leveraging its specialized strengths in relevant fields, she proposed joint efforts to advance research initiatives through resource integration. Such cooperation would address legal challenges in autonomous driving and provide substantive support for the development of the industry's legal framework.
