On October 21st, Zhang Lixue, the Party Secretary of the Law School, led a team to the Weihai Campus to hold a symposium and exchange with the Weihai Campus on the joint construction of the legal service system. Li Xiangshan, the Party Secretary of Weihai Campus, Han Bing, the President of Weihai International College, and other members of the campus leadership team, as well as the heads of various functional departments, Qin Ying, the Deputy Party Secretary and Vice Dean of the Law School, Gao Jianxue, the Legal Advisor, Li Xingyou, the Secretary of the Youth League Committee, and others attended the event. Li Xiangshan presided over the symposium.

Han Bing introduced the basic situation and actual demands of the Weihai Campus in terms of internationalized education and teaching management. He pointed out that with the rapid development of the campus and the in-depth advancement of internationalized education, the demand for legal affairs in areas such as school governance, campus operation, and the rights and interests of teachers and students is increasing day by day. The importance of comprehensively promoting law-based governance in education, schools, and colleges is becoming increasingly prominent. It is hoped that with the professional support of the Law School and through the exchanges and cooperation between both sides, the legal construction of the campus governance system and the development of the school's cause can be further promoted.

Zhang Lixue expressed his gratitude to the Weihai Campus for its trust and support. He stated that serving the development of the school's cause is an inescapable responsibility of the Law School. The Law School has a reliable, professional and trustworthy legal service team. It will fully leverage its professional advantages in law to provide high-quality legal services for the Weihai campus and contribute to creating a high-level educational environment that is law-based and internationalized. He pointed out that this exchange is also an important opportunity for the Law School to conduct research and learning. Through the research and learning of the advanced experience of internationalized education at the Weihai campus, it aims to deeply explore the cutting-edge practices of internationalized education.

Qin Ying introduced the distinctive campus legal education and publicity activities such as the Legal Culture Festival hosted by the Law School. In the next step, efforts will be made to enhance student work exchanges between the Haidian Campus and the Weihai Campus, create more brands of collaborative legal education across multiple campuses, and improve the legal literacy of teachers and students.

During the exchange session, both sides discussed the possibility of strengthening cooperation at multiple levels in the future, exploring the establishment of a micro-major in law at the Weihai campus and promoting legal publicity and training. They also conducted on-site exchanges on practical issues such as the review of foreign-related contracts at the Weihai Campus, the legal boundaries of student management, and risk prevention in school-enterprise cooperation.

The Law School will take this legal service as a bridge to enhance cooperation and exchanges with the Weihai Campus, and inject new impetus of the rule of law into the university's "Double First-Class" construction.
